The Mourne Way Marathon will take place on Saturday 12 June 2010.
In addition to the marathon, there will now be an ultra marathon encompassing an out and back format along part of the marathon route.
The Ultra Marathon will start in Kilbroney Park, Rostrevor, Co Down and is approximately 85km in distance with 2860 metres of climbing. It will follow the Mourne Way route all the way to Newcastle before turning at the marathon start point and returning to Rostrevor along the same path. Approximately 6km will be on road with the remainder off road on tracks and trails.
