Ireland's Richard Donovan was Race Director at the Commonwealth Ultra Distance Championships in Wales on 25 September 2011.
Donovan presented the technical meeting for the 24 Hour Race, which witnessed a new women's world record by Great Britain's Lizzie Hawker. He then directed the Commonwealth Trail Championships in Newborough Forest on the Isle of Anglesey.
The Championships were hailed as a resounding success with extensive international tv broadcasts.
Donovan earlier received an Order of Merit from the International Association of Ultra Runners for his organisation of the Trail World Championships on 9th July 2011.
