After 20 days on the road, Tony Mangan has covered 858.7km in his effort to run around the world and cover 1,000 marathons in 1,000 days.
Tony first crossed Ireland from east to west, running 377.6km to reach Dunquin, Co Kerry, where he is pictured above. He then flew across the Atlantic and made his way to the easternmost point of Newfoundland to begin the North American leg of his journey.
Tony is now half-way across Newfoundland. He has appeared on local TV and has received fantastic hospitality. Funnily, he was stopped on the main road by the Mounties while pushing his Chariot jogging stroller because someone reported "a lunatic running down the highway with a baby."
You can follow Tony's adventures on his website The World Jog.
