Picture of Thomas Maguire setting new Irish 100 Mile time
Thomas Maguire has officially run through 161.92 km, more than 100 miles, in 15:15:52 hrs during the World 24 Hour Championship in Brive, France. The time represents a new Irish record for the imperial distance, though Maguire may yet run his final 100 miles even faster.
More updates on the Irish team will be posted as the night progresses. The race is due to finish at 09:00 GMT on 14th May.
