The Fermanagh Herald honoured Thomas Maguire with a sports personality of the month award last week.
The modest international athlete, never one for self-congratulations, recently ran 100km (62.1 miles) in 8 hours in a charity run.
Thomas had signed up to contest the annual Enniskillen Rotary 10k, but opted to run 10 laps of the route instead of one. He raised thousands of pounds for the Fermanagh Branch of Autism Northern Ireland in the process.
Thomas holds the Irish record for 100km with a time of 7:05:06.
