Mangan in Guinness World Records

Tony Mangan's 48-hour treadmill record has been added to the 2010 Guinness World Records book.

His effort of 405.22km (252 miles) set at the 2008 Longford Marathon Expo, will appear on page 227 in the Sports - Track & Field section. The book will be available in shops in September.

Tony is also the world indoor record holder for 48 hours. In March 2007, he ran a staggering 426.178 km, or 264.81 miles, to win the Brno 48H Indoor Race in the Czech Republic. Second was Kenji Okiyama from Japan with 412.9km.

Tony's indoor record was ratified by the IAU (International Association of Ultra Runners).
